Show Notes

Connecticut author Steven Ostrowski started life as a scrappy city kid from a large family on Staten Island. He developed a love of ice hockey back then, and has continued to play the sport to this day. He describes how he would rush straight from hockey practice to his City College English class, with his giant bag of equipment slung over his shoulder, moving easily from brawn to brain.  He would go on to become a college professor, poet, author, songwriter and painter. We read two of Steven's flash stories in this episode.
